Joe Budden TV: If I Was Singlee!!!
Until this, I had no clue what a laptop party was, but you have to imagine the connection was probably slower than dial up. The last time we saw Joey and Tahiry around these parts, Joey’s faithfulness was in question.
Being a huge fan of Drake’s So Far Gone, especially “A Night Off” featuring Lloyd, Joey questions what life would be like if Tahiry weren’t by his side. Before someone takes this out of context, he had this to say.
And no, I ain’t tryin to be single, them dudes live lonely as hell!!
The Reason I'm Scared To Have A Daughter
At some point in time, I’m sure most of the visitors of this site have thought about having kids in the future (if you haven’t had one or SOME already). Personally, I’m still a good 6-7 years from wanting to have one seeing as how there are still quite a few personal goals I’d like to achieve before I bring another life into the world.
**KNOCKS ON WOOD**
However, I’m sure every father or potential father has had this one thought cross their mind when they find out they are having a baby girl…please don’t let her be “that” girl. By that I mean, he prays to the heavens above that his daughter is NOT getting ran through by the starting defense on the football team…or making videos such as these.
By now, I’m sure most of you have seen these videos on YouTube by a group of young females who refer to themselves as the “Twerk Team”. They’ve essentially became YouTube legends for their videos and for having normal law abiding citizens have pedophilish thoughts for 2.6 seconds. Not to diss any of these girls personally, but this is what happens when too many rap videos meet home alone teenagers.
Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana - My Face Can't Be Felt (Unofficial Mixtape)

This mixtape makes me feel like it's Christmas in March. Here goes "My Face Can’t Be Felt," an unofficial Wayne and Juelz mixtape featuring numerous unheard cuts from their collaboration album I Can’t Feel My Face that hopefully before I graduate will see the light of day. By the way it’s all NO DJ similar to Weezy’s last unoffical mixtape "Hottest Nigga Under The Sun."

Here 4 Bonus bangers that Juelz says were leaking on the net, so he wanted the official version to be available.

Rick Ross feat. Nas - Usual Suspects
Rick Ross feat. Nas - Usual SuspectsWith the month of April quickly approaching, means three of my more anticipated albums see release dates. Those being Jadakiss, Asher Roth and Rick Ross. The latter, which is touted as being “the biggest album of the year”, has been all but confirmed by those who attended the listening session as being just that.
Hopefully with all the MUNKEEE business behind him, Ross can now focus all of his attention on promoting, for all intensive purposes, what could be an album of the year front runner.

Jim Jones - Pray IV Reign

Jimmy back with a fourth solo album and I gotta say, this shit is fuckin DOPEEEEEEE!!! I just found out some real real real goood news, but I won't mention anything about it on the blog until I'm sure my sources aren't throwing rumors in the air.

Ludacris feat. Shawnna - Drunk As FuckI can’t remember exactly when I heard it, but I could have bet the house on Shawnna being off Disturbing The Peace. After giving it some serious thought, I soon remembered this video and considered it a blessing I didn’t take that bet.

Flo-Rida feat. Ne-Yo - Be On You
Flo-Rida feat. Ne-Yo - Be On YouThere's only 2 reasons why I'm posting this: 1. I support my man Ne-Yo all day. 2. To showcase the lady up above. HAHA. "R.O.O.T.S" in stores March 31st.
Marques Houston feat. Jim Jones - I Love Her
Marques Houston feat. Jim Jones - I Love HerThe artist formerly known as Batman (or was it Romeo? Or Roger? Ah who cares.) links up with the One-Eyed Willy! This is my honey-dip jamm! HA! Owww!
Wale feat. Lady Gaga - Chillin
Wale feat. Lady Gaga - ChillinIt’s almost amazing to think that it’s been over two years since Wale’s lyrics first made its way to my speakers. Initially, he wasn’t given much of a chance on my part simply because I figured he’d be a fly-by-night rapper because he was from The District. No rappers ever come out of the 202, just go-go bands. This here is his lead single off his upcoming album.
Pimp C feat. T-Pain & Lil Wayne - Let's Talk Money
Pimp C feat. T-Pain & Lil Wayne - Let's Talk MoneyWho samples a T-Pain hook when The Ringleader will just give you a brand new one which is pretty much guaranteed to be a hit? And if you listen closely, Wayne has a bar directed right at that guy from New York. No, not Jay, the one who got shot nine times.

Cam'ron - Caveman
Cam'ron - CavemanIf you can’t tell by now, Cam is one of my favorite artists and anytime something new by him drops, it must be liberated in the quickest fashion. I keep it 1-Hunnet. DIPSETT!!
Day 26 feat. T-Pain - Shawty Wusssup
Day 26 feat. T-Pain - Shawty WusssupIt's good to see that Diddy's band can still hold it together and dropping a sophmore album. Realistically, groups nowadays don't even last a year. There's always that one idiot in the crew who thinks since he's already up there and sees money signs all around him, he doesn't need the crew anymore. That's what causes the whole group to just dismantle into pieces. Take the first making the band for example. Anyways, Day 26 collaborates with Teddy P. for one of the cuts off their new album. This should've been my anthem for my Chico nights I used to pull! HAHA
Jay-Z - The S. Carter Collection Mixtape: A Lost Gem To Me

You ever burn a CD before getting in your car to embark on a series of errands? Well, that’s exactly what I did this morning and approximately 15 hours later, I birthed this.
I’ll be totally honest with you when I say I’m not, nor have I ever been, the biggest Sean Carter fan. With that said, I respect everything he has meant to hip-hop and even respect the notion of him holding the claim as hip-hop’s creme de la creme. At the end of the day, it’s hard to deny someone with a resume that boasts hit after hit, classic after classic and being partnered in holy matrimony to arguably the most beautiful woman on the face of the Earth.
All that still isn’t fooling me, the greatest rapper of all time died almost 13 years ago.
However, back to the topic. While much of the the focus on his catalog revolves around albums such as Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album (although Vol. 1 is an underrated gem), many fans tended to forget his major non-retail release, The S. Carter Collection Mixtape. I'm more than happy to expose EVERYONE to one of my favorite mixtapes of the decade.
Featuring then unheard recordings from Jay’s early days of stardom to the rhyme-jacking several insanely popular songs of that time (2003), the tape showcases Young Hov in a raw, uncut and mixtape-ish fashion which hasn’t been seen since (and probably never again). So, if you have an hour to spare, lodge this in a deck, roll down the windows, “relax your mind…let your conscience be free…”. Well, you’re a Jay-Z fan, you should know the rest.
"...I’m young, black and holdin’ my nuts like ‘chea..."

Rick Ross feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne & T-Pain - Maybach Music 2 (Pharoah's Recording)
Rick Ross feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne & T-Pain - Maybach Music 2 (Pharoah's Recording)I wasn’t even at the Rick Ross listening party in NYC. But you know I know a lotta folks in high and low places that were in attendance. Boy looka here. Here’s what I found in my in-box. Straight special delivery from my nigga Pharoah just now....OWWWW! This is far from CD Quality, but since it's the most anticipated track off the album, I had to post it.
Wayne's opening line: “All black Maybach, I’m sittin’ in the asshole” .......*SPEECHLESS*
J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League just got that fuckin crackk boii!!! They do it again..Ross' album is gonna be a fuckin classic..Yep, I said it. I'm buying the original the day it drops! TRILLLAAA
Wale feat. Curren$y & Tre of UCB - Word Play
Wale feat. Curren$y & Tre of UCB - Word PlayIf you’re riding the wave known as Twitter and you happen to follow Wale, you should already know that he is quickly becoming one of the first artists to use it to his advantage.
Similar to how Soulja Boy used YouTube & MySpace, Wale is using Twitter to get his point across and keep fans across the world updated with his every move. His “rants” (or soliloquies as I call them) are quickly becoming the stuff of legend.
Minutes ago the DMV representative just liberated (we here in internet land call it a LEAK) a new record of his upcoming mixtape "Back To The Feature" which is being released on April 29.
Joey, Tahiry....and the Creep Phone
Even my man Joey has Drake playing in the back. I'm telling ya'll, Drizzy is the next sensation. Imagine a track with just Drake & Joey. WOWW. That'll be a piece of work.
Anways, when the Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim created YouTube some four years ago, I’m pretty sure videos like these are one of the reasons they decided to follow through with the idea.
Capturing real life as it happens is priceless. Cliche’, yes, but true all the same.
Now, I’ve never had this argument before. I'm just one of those who thinks it's too much work handling two phones, so let's just stick to one phone and be very careful and smart about it. In other words, let's play. HAHA. However, I have heard the horror stories that it spawned. The infamous “creep phone” has caused friction, and even ended in some cases, the most storybook of relationships.
Sometimes it’s true…sometimes the accuser is left feeling like this for weeks at a time.
O yee, Tahiry is fuckin BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD yoo!

What It Look LikeThrow It In The Bag feat. The Dream
Over the years, I have learned to brace myself for whenever a Fabolous record looms on the horizon. It never fails, I go in with such high expectations, but leave dragging my feet with my head down. It’s sort of like watching Dallas Cowboys last season. But, here I go again, holding on to the hope, that maybe, just maybe, Loso (in case you ain’t know so) can deliver “THAT” album…the one that will place him in the upper echelon of hip-hop’s elite.
On the flip side, if it’s anything like the “Loso’s Way” mixtape that dominated the second semester of my sophomore year, color me corrected.

Wayne "speaks" on 50 Cent Diss
I'm a say this..either love him or leave him alone. This is another reason why I love Wayne. My man takes the high road and ignores anything that is not going to make him any money.
Slaughterhouse - Wack MC's
Slaughterhouse - Wack MC'sThis is just what I needed as I start off my day. Have these guys made any wack songs yet?! I didn't think so. Southern Cali residents better have their Paid Dues festival tickets by now! Look out for Slaughterhouse to possibly be in the next issue of XXL.

Meedah feat. Joe Budden - Ground Breaking NewzThis was recorded about 15 minutes ago, but I’m probably still late huh? "TYSON"...Mike Tyson Documentary Trailor
Hands down, one of the most intriguing figures of all time is Michael Gerad Tyson. After receiving high praises at the Cannes Film Festival, it set to make its premiere in the States in the coming weeks. From his rise to power, to Buster Douglas, to the rape case, to his close friendship with Tupac, it’s amazing that his life wasn’t made into some sort of film earlier.
While we’re at it, why not post this video too. Who doesn’t love a good knockout…let alone from (Iron) Mike.
Drake - Beautiful Magic
Drake - Beautiful MagicWith so much material out there, it’s hard to remember what I’ve heard and I what I haven’t. This track was recorded during the "Comeback Season" days (’07), but didn’t make the cut. If you’ve never heard it, well you have now. If you have, well, you just have.

Jay-Z's feature in BEST LIFE

Lil Wayne speaking on the "sleepers" in the NCAA Tournament
Lil Wayne gives his crucial insight to the upcoming NCAA Tournament this year. I agree, all the teams who were slept on seem to be up on top right about now. I don't even know who to put my money on, but right now I'm going with Syracuse after what they did last night and another OT thriller tonight! But that might change because Tuesday is when the games REALLY begin! Weezy and the Young Money crew are in FL for Spring Break. Damn, I need to get up on things and start mapping out the spring/summer too! Weather has been beautiful..

The Madness

Boy, were they in for a LONG night?!?! Maybe this is why they call the month of March "March Madness."The gift that kept on giving. No, I’m not talking about the claps, I was referring to overtime. There wasn’t any shortage of them last night in the Big East Tournament as the entire world saw Syracuse and UConn play themselves into arguably one of the greatest games of all time. With each passing extra period crept the question into my (and I’m sure plenty of others) mind, what if this game never ends?
Even now, hours after the game, I’m having a hard time putting into context what went down last night. I even turned away from watching The King record his third straight triple double against. It takes a lot for me to turn from a game in which Bron and Mo are participants. Come to think of it, the only thing that could pull me away is if a game had six overtimes…go figure.
“I’ve got no words,” Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said when asked to describe the second-longest Division I game ever. “I’ve never been prouder of any team I’ve coached.”
The stats from this game were so inflated it’s rumored that Bud Selig is considered testing it for HGH. Fourteen minutes shy of four hours, the game saw a combined 244 points with 102 coming in the extra period. Eight players fouled out including co-Big East Player of the Year Hasheem Thabeet in the third OT.
As the second overtime turned to third and that turned into the fourth, the one thing in my mind and clearly evident from those on the sideline, all those who were participating were begging for the game to be over. It go to a point where either team didn’t care who got to bragging rights, the only post game press conference they were worried about was the one with their pillow in their hotel rooms later that.
Kid Cudi - Switchin Lanes
Kid Cudi - Switchin LanesI guess Cudi had the honors to have a single on the videogame soundtrack as well. I ain't gonna hate on my man though. I'm glad to see Cudi already get that mainstream success. Nice track, but I expect something groundbreaking for his debut project. This just released on iTunes as the first single from the “South Central EP - Music from Midnight Club: Los Angeles”.

Rick Ross feat. The Dream - I Really Want It
Rick Ross feat. The Dream - I Really Want ItI guarantee this record's gonna shut the radio stations down within a matter of weeks! With that said, "Love vs. Money" is STILL in constant rotation and probably will be until a better R&B album finds it’s way into my possession (c’mon Trey Songz…no homo).
Ciroc Obama Is In The Zone
Working on his new album "Last Train To Paris." I used to be a big fan of Diddy when Bad Boy was still on top of the game! The beat Diddy is rockin out to sounds soo fuckin dope that if a trance/techno version to the song ever drops..and believe me, by the sounds of it, IT WILL, that hit is gonna be a fuckin WONDER! Album set to drop in September. Get on or get OFF!

L.O.X. feat. S.I. - Get My Paper
L.O.X. feat. S.I. - Get My PaperYou know, when I first saw the title to this, I immediately expected a gritty, “go-rob-a-ninja” type of track. Oh how I was wrong. But it’s more of a “get-in-your-car-put-the-windows-down-and-hit-the-highway” type music. Perfect shit as the weather starts to get warmer. It sure is excellent to see D-Block stay together after all these years.
Now, where is "Prepare For Glory?" No, seriously, where is it?

St. Lunatics - St. Lunatics
St. Lunatics - St. LunaticsAite, I had a feeling Dr. Dre's "Detox" would soon see the light of the day, I was pretty surprised when Bone Thugs announced that they are reunited, I knew Game would still drop another album even after announcing his retirement, I KNEWW Jigga-Man would jump back on earth off Jupiter realizing he's still got some more work to do before retiring and get on top of new Blueprint after announcing his retirement for the third time...(breather)..Now here is something I never thought would happen!! Another album from Nelly & his goons. *shrugs*… here’s the first leak off the St. Lunatics upcoming album, "City Free." Like I said in the earlier posts, 2009 is the year where all the unthinkables are gonna go down! Anyways, I'm glad to see the Loonies are back because believe it or not, I was a HUGE fan of them while in high school. It was almost like if you didn't like the Lunatics, you weren't cool. HA! Damn, makes me wanna hop back on some St. Lunatics shit for a few weeks so I can get warmed up for the album to drop.

Live “Notorious”, Die “B.I.G.”: Remembering the King of New York

Dear B.I.G.,
I apologize for the tardiness of this letter. I was actually planning a video montage detailing of what exactly I was doing 12 years ago today. Technology has upgraded itself over the past few years and it’s this new site out called YouTube that allows you to post videos whenever you want.
Because of technological malfunctions, I was unable to post the video. Hopefully I can post it soon, but in the mean time this will have to do. I’ve always been one to move forward in whatever situation was presented, so I decided to do what Jada did earlier this year and pen a letter to you. It’s crazy to believe that 12 years ago to the day that you took those bullets in Los Angeles. I’ll never forget it, I was sitting in my room watching the Real World on MTV (that show has since fell off the face of the map) when it was interrupted by Kurt Loder announcing the news.
I was only 11 at the time, but my boy (who had given me a cassette copy of Ready To Die months earlier) explained to me the magnitude of what had just happened. I remember traveling to Philly the next week and seeing grown men and women crying over your passing. It’s crazy because the same thing happened with ‘Pac only six months earlier. It was then I saw the impact music could have over one’s life.
Since you’ve been gone, music has changed exponentially. I’m not one of those who say the genre has “died” because technically it hasn’t, it’s actually alive. It’s almost scary to think the kind of music you could have made with T.I., Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Fabolous and Common, just to name a few. Even Jay has actually done alright for himself with millions worldwide considering him the greatest of all time. I’m sure by now you already know what’s been going on with Junior M.A.F.I.A., so it’s no need to go there. Puffy, well, he’s changed his names more times than even I can remember, but he’s still the same guy you knew back in the ’90’s…with a few more enemies.
I could go on for years about what’s been going down since your exit, but it’s pointless. You said it best, ‘Things Done Changed’. I’ll end it on one question. You and Pac talked everything out right? You don’t have to tell me now, I’ll find out eventually (hopefully a LONG time from now). Continue to rest in peace big homie. We all want that satisfaction of going from “ashy to classy”. ‘The Sky Is The Limit’, we just have to get there first.
Peace

P.S. As a bonus, download DJ Drama and Cookin Soul’s Biggie tribute mixtape featuring the likes of Nipsey Hu$$le, Amanda Diva, Styles P, Jean Grae and many more.

I'm Goin In feat. Lil Wayne & Drake updated news
POST UPDATE: So I had posted this track called “I’m Goin’ In” last night, and being the Drake fan that I am, I had to do some background research since I had never heard of DJ Capcom or Truth. Well above is the screenshot from Drake’s blog and he gets right to the point about the track. I have also been gone for a minute and Justin has been holding it down in his own right but those details will be followed in another post. Sidebar: I wonder who the artist is going to be, must be someone that really goes in own right since he is being held as “undisclosed artist” and it also says featuring Drake & Weezy so who’s track might it be?

Just call me the Supplier. HAHA. Anywho, hip-hop’s favorite new tag team hooks up once more and this time DJ Capcom reaps the benefits. Every time I hear the word “Capcom”, I automatically have flashbacks to the ’90’s playing “Street Fighter”. Guile was that dude!!
