Lakers vs. Nuggets series

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets kick start their series tonight. And you already know who I'm rooting for since the Blazers got their shit wunged..It's aite, we're getting stronger every year. Our time will come..Let's go LAKERS!

Jeremih - Raindrops

Jeremih - Raindrops
"Birthday Sex" was a banger and I had the joint played the fuck out even before that shit popped up on the scene. And now I feel like a new remix to the track drops every fuckin day, which I think is annoying. I still fucks with the origin-AL..HAHA..And this jamm goes!! That's 2 for 2 for my man Jeremih. His debut drops next month (June 30th I believe) and I think it's gonna be HOTTT, like it was yesterday. He does a lil spittin at the end too.

Drake does it again...Sell out show in the Windy City

once again...."Dont say you willlll...unless you willll..HAY HAY HAYYYYYY"... LOLLLLL
Heard the show was sold out, but multiple fights broke out during his 45 minutes performace @ the House of Blues. Security had to clear out the venue after too many fights had broken out and a goonie was even shot in the ass outside the club..LOL..It's kinda sad but it's funny..Anyway, Drake cancelled an after-party as a result of the violence..C'mon ppl, can we all just get along??? My turn to see the man is less than a week away. I'm getting butterflies..HAHA...nawtt, but yee..It's gonna be DOPE! And I'll keep my fingers crossed that no fights fuck up this show; I mean it is L.A...We don't wanna deal with no drama between the CPT and LB Piru's or the I.E. hoodlums..

Madonna feat. Lil Wayne - Revolver

Madonna feat. Lil Wayne - Revolver
Con just let loose of something I've been waiting on. The snippet to this leaked a while back. Here's the full version to the song, but I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that this is the official, CD quality version. I caught a few oopss-ies in this track. Anyways, not sure who is on the chorus, but whoever it is, IS ON POINT. This track was originally supposed to be for Madonna's album, but I guess Weezy paid her off to have it on his upcoming album "Rebirth."

Kober & Lebron Chalk Commercial

No comment, just a lot of comedy...and powder.
Feeling disrespected with all the MVP talk (and powder), Kobe flips the script and using something LeBron doesn’t have…three championship rings.

Honestly, whoever thought of these commercials deserve a raise (or at least a promise he/she won’t be laid off). This Kobe/LeBron final isn’t looking as promising as I once thought, especially with the Lakers being pushed to the limit against Houston’s own. He better take a note from his documentary and “do work”.

Don’t ruin this for me Kobe. I’ve been waiting on a 23 vs. 24 Final for years. Then again, LeBron isn’t exactly guaranteed either…Really though, if these two don’t meet in the Finals, someone has a lot of explaining to do.

Drake

My man stay rockin shows. He just sold out a show in his hometown T-Dot last night. Anyways, I don't know what's taking so long for Empire to drop the mixtape, but I just thought I'd hit ya'll off with something I've had stashed in my back office off the mixtape. Like I said before, I was hit with the mixtape a week back and it doesn't have a lot of new material, but all the new material is NICE!. I fucks wit it....
Goodnight & Goodluck
What I'm Thinking Right Now

And more, for fun...thought I'd dust them off and let them see the light of day since Drake don't..HAHA....I'M SORRY DRIZZY!! I HAD TO DO IT TO EM!
Deceiving

I got about 8 more that are just eager to be posted up, but I'm tired as fuck so Imma tease ya'll with this and call it a night... :)

Whoever said I wasn't the SHIT needa do some background research!! HAHA

Here's a clip of Drizzy gettin his Yeezy on in Toronto...

Rick Ross Shades are FAKE....According to Louis V

Think back to high school. The most anticipated hour of the day (aside from the final bell) was the lunchroom experience and all the antics that followed. Cracking jokes is an unofficial cornerstone to the maturation of the American child and the one “NO-NO” is to never allow someone to crack THAT one joke that can ruin your reputation for the rest of the week. Like wearing the wrong clothes.

I say that to say this, it just happened to Rick Ross. While at XXL.com, I came across an article that touted a letter from Louis Vuitton in regards to their May 2009 cover (above). Let’s just say, they put Ross on “Front St.”

Dear Editor:

We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.

The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to correct the confusion.

Sincerely,

Michael D. Pantalony, Esq.
Louis Vuitton Malletier

Funniest thing about this is that it didn't even take 50 to put The Boss on blast and fuck up his rep...It took a fuckin magazine who was actually payin homage to the man himself, but it turned around and bit him in the ass....OUCHHH!! Now that's deeper than rap

Drake ROCKSSS Houston!!!

First and FOREMOST, I got the CHILLLLLLSSSS watchin this..

Aite, so I'm affiliated with 2 people who were actually attendees at this, mind you, SOLD OUT show in H-Town. Since them 2 know I'm the biggest Drake fan ever, they decide to call me after the show telling me that the show was something they had never ever experienced before!! I mean I could tell in their voices that it was INSANITY!!! Basically after hearing all that jibb-jabber, I came to the conclusion that if I had a chance to watch M.J. hit the buzzer beater shot in his prime or to watch Drake live in Houston, I'd definately just stick to Drake :)...No questions asked.

So the next day I'm online doing my everyday thizzle and I'm reading everywhere that Drizzy really just WENT OFFFFF in Houston! I could only wish I was a part of it. Anywho, the above image, in which you can clearly see Drake rockin out the Warehouse Live was sent to OvO by Bun B.

And I heard:
That front row > front row at the Lakers game

BONUS: Drake sings Mo City Don
Aubrey (Wow, I feel I can finally call the man by his name rather than Mr or whatever..haha) just posted this not too long ago. Mo City Don is a song by Z-Ro who is a Houston artist. The fans go nuttttsssss!! As most of us know, Houston is very traditional and big on their rap since not too many hits come out of there. The fans do 95% of the rappin and now I see why Bun B sent out the pic to the Cartel boys. LOL. But truthfully, I can’t wait to see the New Orleans footage. Wayne, Baby, Trey, & Young Money were in the building. Word to Niko!

Joe Budden TV: Vibe's Rap Bracket?!?!

It’s like this. Whenever you do a “top-of” list, the chances of pissing someone off reach an almost definite level. Which is exactly what happened here when Joe Budden, while in the studio with Joell Ortiz, saw his ranking on VIBE’s Rap Bracket. To his credit, he had a rather convincing argument.

It’s no need to type an essay as to why a lot of these GOAT lists are flawed, but just know if you can’t name five Rakim songs, don’t put him in your greatest-of-all-time list just to fit in. Obviously, VIBE has much more immense hip-hop knowledge than that, but many of the rankings were based off the wrong reasons.

For example, Budden draws the 32 seed which obviously, if you watch any coverage of March Madness, means he’ll be eliminated before the bell even rings. With no disrespect to legends like Dougie-Fresh, Melly Mel and Eazy-E, it comes a point in time when you have to call a spade a spade and admit that, in a lyrical sense, they were NOT the greatest to ever breathe into a microphone. Especially not better than Budden.

I’m sure some hip-hop head will crucify me for not “being up on things”, but honestly, who cares?

Jojo Simmons allegedly busted for weed

TMZ:
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the 19-year old was seen allegedly buying the marijuana and rolling a joint while sitting in a car on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. We’re told he tried to get away by throwing his car into reverse, and nearly backed into the officer’s car.
Simmons Jr, known as JoJo on the MTV reality show “Run’s House”, was also booked for resisting arrest, attempted reckless endangerment, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

While TMZ is still on my sh*t list for their Tupac prank, something tells this holds weight. Just imagine the look on his face when the cop knocked on the window. My guess it was probably something like this.

Mr. Graham has a gift dropping on the May 11th that I already got my hands on, somehow, someway, from a person on a whole different elevation! He He!! Most of the tracks are pretty old, but I appreciate anything Drizzy puts out for his stans. It's gonna be another hot summer!

Drake feat. Tanya Morgan - Right To The Left

Drake feat. Tanya Morgan - Right To The Left
First and foremost, I'm finally headed out to L.A. to catch my man Drake live in some real-time action. Got hooked up with the baddest seats in the buildin, backstage passes to meet the man 1 on 1, and umm, maybeeeeee, even party with him VIP afterwards! C'mon, a nigga couldn't pass this up and for my nigga Drake, I'll drive to another state to see him live. Like I said before, I got people in high...and low places..HAHAHA!! Anyways, some previously unheard Drake (which is moving like dope did in the ’80’s these days) is now available. Instead of me trying to paraphrase, here’s what Heinz had to say regarding the record.

Some old Young Angel, Drizzy, Drake, Drizzy Drake Rogers, Jimmy, whatever you feel comfortable calling him. This is an old track during the recording of the Comeback Season Mixtape. Drake was a fan of Tanya Morgan and Von was also a fan of his (everyone that knows me, knows I’m always putting on for the city and sending everyone not from the Dot songs from artists I’m down with) so I linked them together. We couldn’t get them all in the same studio in time, so the quality of the song wasn’t great when D was putting it together with 40 for the mixtape. It eventually got scrapped, and he used his verses on another beat. Ah well. This is only 1 of 3 joints i got with them. Ha! BTW this was put together with just the references (thanks to Aeon!) so we couldn’t split up Drakes verses, this ain’t no mixtape dub (ex. “I’m Goin In”) this was O-FISH-ALL. Shout out to Boi-1da on the boards.

"How the fuck Jay n Dame gonn' break up, before they meet Drake..I'm sure in can be resolved, I'm just hopin that they make up.."

R.Kelly feat. Clyde Carson - Hotel

R.Kelly feat. Clyde Carson - Hotel
I'm not quite sure why singers who can actually sing mess with autotune, but Kelly utilizes the device for Carson's new track, "Take it to the Hotel."

Swizz Beatz - When I Step In The Club

Swizz Beatz - When I Step In The Club
I swear, Swizzy stays doing these summer cuts each and every year. In any matter, Jada’s “Child Abuse” > every other song Swizz has dropped.

Birdshit aka Birdman feat. Jay Sean - Written On Her

Birdman feat. Jay Sean - Written On Her
Birdshitt, Birdoodoo or whatever you wanna call him really farted on his "coulda been IMMACULATE" track! Jay Sean on the other hand did his BEST to save the song and I give it to the man, he rippped the beat. As I'm very very impressed with Jay being the newest member to the Young Money camp and I been following the man's music ever since Rishi and Juggy put him out into the music scene, I think he'll be the newest r&b sensation in the States within a year. Hell, maybe even sooner because people talk and word gets out. Jay and his new buddy Weezy are actually shooting the video in U.K. to Jay Sean's first single to drop in the U.S, "Down." I've actually heard the demo of the song through a source (won't mention names :) because we keep it trill) and the song is one of the hottest to drop in '09! I have it on the Mac and I'm very tempted to just post it, but I wouldn't want Weezy to send his army guns after me because the person who sent me the track was basically supposed to have it "locked in the safe," which he didn't do a very good job of! HAHA. But like I've mentioned before, I have people in the high...and low places.

Joe Budden TV: If I Was Singlee!!!

Until this, I had no clue what a laptop party was, but you have to imagine the connection was probably slower than dial up. The last time we saw Joey and Tahiry around these parts, Joey’s faithfulness was in question.
Being a huge fan of Drake’s So Far Gone, especially “A Night Off” featuring Lloyd, Joey questions what life would be like if Tahiry weren’t by his side. Before someone takes this out of context, he had this to say.

And no, I ain’t tryin to be single, them dudes live lonely as hell!!

The Reason I'm Scared To Have A Daughter

At some point in time, I’m sure most of the visitors of this site have thought about having kids in the future (if you haven’t had one or SOME already). Personally, I’m still a good 6-7 years from wanting to have one seeing as how there are still quite a few personal goals I’d like to achieve before I bring another life into the world.

**KNOCKS ON WOOD**

However, I’m sure every father or potential father has had this one thought cross their mind when they find out they are having a baby girl…please don’t let her be “that” girl. By that I mean, he prays to the heavens above that his daughter is NOT getting ran through by the starting defense on the football team…or making videos such as these.
By now, I’m sure most of you have seen these videos on YouTube by a group of young females who refer to themselves as the “Twerk Team”. They’ve essentially became YouTube legends for their videos and for having normal law abiding citizens have pedophilish thoughts for 2.6 seconds. Not to diss any of these girls personally, but this is what happens when too many rap videos meet home alone teenagers.

Lil Wayne & Juelz Santana - My Face Can't Be Felt (Unofficial Mixtape)

This mixtape makes me feel like it's Christmas in March. Here goes "My Face Can’t Be Felt," an unofficial Wayne and Juelz mixtape featuring numerous unheard cuts from their collaboration album I Can’t Feel My Face that hopefully before I graduate will see the light of day. By the way it’s all NO DJ similar to Weezy’s last unoffical mixtape "Hottest Nigga Under The Sun."

Rick Ross feat. Nas - Usual Suspects
With the month of April quickly approaching, means three of my more anticipated albums see release dates. Those being Jadakiss, Asher Roth and Rick Ross. The latter, which is touted as being “the biggest album of the year”, has been all but confirmed by those who attended the listening session as being just that.
Hopefully with all the MUNKEEE business behind him, Ross can now focus all of his attention on promoting, for all intensive purposes, what could be an album of the year front runner.

Flo-Rida feat. Ne-Yo - Be On You

Wale feat. Lady Gaga - Chillin

Wale feat. Lady Gaga - Chillin
It’s almost amazing to think that it’s been over two years since Wale’s lyrics first made its way to my speakers. Initially, he wasn’t given much of a chance on my part simply because I figured he’d be a fly-by-night rapper because he was from The District. No rappers ever come out of the 202, just go-go bands. This here is his lead single off his upcoming album.

Pimp C feat. T-Pain & Lil Wayne - Let's Talk Money

Pimp C feat. T-Pain & Lil Wayne - Let's Talk Money
Who samples a T-Pain hook when The Ringleader will just give you a brand new one which is pretty much guaranteed to be a hit? And if you listen closely, Wayne has a bar directed right at that guy from New York. No, not Jay, the one who got shot nine times.

Day 26 feat. T-Pain - Shawty Wusssup

Day 26 feat. T-Pain - Shawty Wusssup
It's good to see that Diddy's band can still hold it together and dropping a sophmore album. Realistically, groups nowadays don't even last a year. There's always that one idiot in the crew who thinks since he's already up there and sees money signs all around him, he doesn't need the crew anymore. That's what causes the whole group to just dismantle into pieces. Take the first making the band for example. Anyways, Day 26 collaborates with Teddy P. for one of the cuts off their new album. This should've been my anthem for my Chico nights I used to pull! HAHA

Jay-Z - The S. Carter Collection Mixtape: A Lost Gem To Me

You ever burn a CD before getting in your car to embark on a series of errands? Well, that’s exactly what I did this morning and approximately 15 hours later, I birthed this.
I’ll be totally honest with you when I say I’m not, nor have I ever been, the biggest Sean Carter fan. With that said, I respect everything he has meant to hip-hop and even respect the notion of him holding the claim as hip-hop’s creme de la creme. At the end of the day, it’s hard to deny someone with a resume that boasts hit after hit, classic after classic and being partnered in holy matrimony to arguably the most beautiful woman on the face of the Earth.
All that still isn’t fooling me, the greatest rapper of all time died almost 13 years ago.
However, back to the topic. While much of the the focus on his catalog revolves around albums such as Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album (although Vol. 1 is an underrated gem), many fans tended to forget his major non-retail release, The S. Carter Collection Mixtape. I'm more than happy to expose EVERYONE to one of my favorite mixtapes of the decade.
Featuring then unheard recordings from Jay’s early days of stardom to the rhyme-jacking several insanely popular songs of that time (2003), the tape showcases Young Hov in a raw, uncut and mixtape-ish fashion which hasn’t been seen since (and probably never again). So, if you have an hour to spare, lodge this in a deck, roll down the windows, “relax your mind…let your conscience be free…”. Well, you’re a Jay-Z fan, you should know the rest.

Straight special delivery from my nigga Pharoah just now....OWWWW! This is far from CD Quality, but since it's the most anticipated track off the album, I had to post it.

Wale feat. Curren$y & Tre of UCB - Word Play

Wale feat. Curren$y & Tre of UCB - Word Play
If you’re riding the wave known as Twitter and you happen to follow Wale, you should already know that he is quickly becoming one of the first artists to use it to his advantage.
Similar to how Soulja Boy used YouTube & MySpace, Wale is using Twitter to get his point across and keep fans across the world updated with his every move. His “rants” (or soliloquies as I call them) are quickly becoming the stuff of legend.
Minutes ago the DMV representative just liberated (we here in internet land call it a LEAK) a new record of his upcoming mixtape "Back To The Feature" which is being released on April 29.

Joey, Tahiry....and the Creep Phone

Even my man Joey has Drake playing in the back. I'm telling ya'll, Drizzy is the next sensation. Imagine a track with just Drake & Joey. WOWW. That'll be a piece of work.
Anways, when the Steve Chen, Chad Hurley and Jawed Karim created YouTube some four years ago, I’m pretty sure videos like these are one of the reasons they decided to follow through with the idea.
Capturing real life as it happens is priceless. Cliche’, yes, but true all the same.
Now, I’ve never had this argument before. I'm just one of those who thinks it's too much work handling two phones, so let's just stick to one phone and be very careful and smart about it. In other words, let's play. HAHA. However, I have heard the horror stories that it spawned. The infamous “creep phone” has caused friction, and even ended in some cases, the most storybook of relationships.
Sometimes it’s true…sometimes the accuser is left feeling like this for weeks at a time.
O yee, Tahiry is fuckin BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD yoo!
